The SS127 also has YakAttack Aluminum GearTracs on the sides for easy rod-holder positioning. In addition, this hatch can be opened from the front or back. The large bow hatch makes it possible to store just about every gear item you own inside the kayak to keep it protected while transporting it to and from the water. The Boss Strap also doubles as a paddle pocket. The SS127 features the Boss Strap rod management system that allows for easy and careful storing of your rods while on the water. You’ll also find an oversized handle on the bow and a retractable handle on the stern for quick and easy loading and unloading. The center-positioned DryPod also has transducer through-hull scupper for easy installation of depth and fish finders. The SS127 also has extra pads on the rear sides in case you want to pivot and have a look behind you without having to reposition your kayak. The reinforced foot platform offers supreme comfort and even extra grip for anglers who prefer to kick their shoes off when they’re on the water. Most high-seated fishing kayaks are severely lacking in the stability department, but the SS127 is actually more stable than other brands that have lower seating and a wider base. Many anglers report that this kayak has one of the best overall seating designs in the industry thanks to the hard work of the engineers at Bonafide. One of the most talked about features of the SS127 is the HiRise seat compared to other makes and models. Many anglers describe the kayak’s ability to protect them from flipping as a surprise, given the long and narrow body of this watercraft. The SS127 features Bonafide’s Hybrid Catamaran Hull design, which is geared toward providing ultimate stability without sacrificing agility and speed on the water. Many larger-sized individuals have raved about the stability of the SS127 and its capability to handle just about anything you want to weigh it down with. The SS127’s overall capacity is 475 lbs (215.4 kg), which leaves just a bit to be desired for users who might want to take this kayak on a long-distance haul in the wilderness when you need to bring a ton of stuff. The “SS” stands for “Sit-Stand” and anglers will feel quite comfortable doing both on this kayak, even while having it loaded almost to the max and packed down with lots of gear. The Bonafide SS127’s namesake is a testament to its capability as a fishing kayak. Weighing in at just 94 lbs (42.6 kg), the SS127 is surprisingly lightweight for its size. This kayak has a deck height of 15.5” (39.3 cm) which already puts the user well above the sitting position of other kayaks. If you have any questions on the Bonafide hit me up and I will try to answer them.Made for fishing, Bonafide SS127 is 12’7” (383.5 cm) in length and 33.75” (85.7 cm) wide. Also my wife would kill me spending over 3k on a kayak then buying accessories. For me they are to pricey and heavy to car top. I think the only way you get a faster more stable kayak is to get a high hobie like a PA12 or 14. Before I bought I watched a lot of YouTube videos on smaller channels of guys fishing out of it. My channel name is same as reddit username. I just posted a YouTube video with my son riding in the back and he can move freely with bothering my balance. My Jackson cuda was about 1mph faster, but not the greatest standing kayak. The Bonafide has the best stability of any kayak I’ve ever been on but you give up some speed because of that. The only issues is the nose sticks up as because I’m putting 100 lbs in the back. When I put my twin girls on we are at around 330 lbs and still very stable. I also put my kids on it as well sometimes just to get them out the house.
